Timmermans & Simons International Business Lawyers was formally established in 2010, but its partners have a long-time experience in law – domestic and international, practical and theoretical. As the name of the firm reveals, the key practice-area of the firm is international business law – in the broadest meaning of the term, including international tax law – with special focus on Eastern Europe and Russia and other jurisdictions in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Dr. Timmermans and Professor Simons have been intimately involved in legal reform in Eastern Europe and, also, in teaching Russian and East European Law at Leiden University for many years.
